Digital x-rays use sensors that feed images to a computer. Images are immediately available to preview and can be enhanced and zoomed in on. Digital x-rays can easily be stored and transferred over the computer. Because digital x-rays are more sensitive than dental film x-rays, exposure time is reduced.
Digital X-Rays may reveal:
- Abscesses or cysts
- Bone loss
- Cancerous and non-cancerous tumors
- Decay between the teeth
- Developmental abnormalities
- Poor tooth and root positions
- Problems inside a tooth or below the gum line
Detecting and treating dental problems at an early stage can save time, money, discomfort and most importantly, your teeth.
